The Exhibitionists -

Artists Barbara Batchelor, Barbara Brenton, and Mary Lou Smith are new to the Wake Forest area but not new to the world of art.

The three friends met while attending art workshops and classes and exhibiting their work at the Art League of Bonita Springs, FL. Their work has also been exhibited in Naples, Sanibel Island and Ft. Myers, Florida. Their work is owned by collectors in Florida, North Carolina, Vermont, Georgia, Washington, California, and Rhode Island.

In 2005, Barbara Batchelor, who was born in North Carolina, purchased a home here and that was the beginning of a domino effect that resulted in all three making permanent and part-time moves to Wake Forest. Now that they are settled into their Wake Forest homes, they are ready to share their artwork and to become involved with the local art community. The friends also formed a critique group that meets to discuss art and to visit art galleries and museums.

The Exhibitionists' artwork ranges from Impressionistic to abstract using a variety of media . . .watercolor, pen and pencil drawings, acrylic, pastel, oil, mixed media and collage. The goal of The Exhibitionists is to offer original works of art at
affordable prices.
